Michael Schafle focuses his practice on representing individuals in catastrophic personal injury matters along with mass torts. He has been involved in numerous catastrophic injury cases with national media exposure in addition to some of the largest mass torts involving allegedly dangerous and defective products throughout the country. Mike is a founding partner and trial attorney at Green & Schafle LLC. For nearly two decades, he has represented individuals in catastrophic accidents in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and throughout the country. Mike focuses his practice on complex personal injury litigation involving defective products, medical malpractice, tractor-trailer accidents, sexual assault, and worksite injuries. In addition, he actively represents victims of allegedly unsafe drugs and medical devices in state court and multidistrict litigation (MDL) along with individuals who have developed asbestos related diseases such as mesothelioma.
In recent years Mike has successfully litigated and resolved numerous complex injury matters and many attorneys turn to him by referring difficult and high-stakes cases. In his distinguished career thus far, Mike has served as counsel or co-counsel in cases where he has helped to secure total recoveries for clients well into hundreds of millions of dollars. Successful cases which he has worked on include:
- Tens of millions of dollars for victims of defective metal-on-metal hip implants
- Tens of millions of dollars for victims of dangerous drugs and consumer products
- $19,900,000 for victims injured by a dangerous blood clotting drug
- $2,350,000 medical malpractice – wrongful death
- $3,750,000 recovery for a truck driver severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision
- $7,600,000 for a man paralyzed during an accident at friend’s home
- $1,600,000 wrongful death – medical malpractice
- $1,750,000 recovery for the family of a man killed in a tractor-trailer collision
- $450,000 premises liability fracture requiring extended hospitalization in a case rejected by numerous other attorneys
- $650,000 settlement with major medical device manufacturer for a single failed orthopedic implant
- $1,000,000 wrongful death award for industrial accident
- $475,000 settlement with major Pennsylvania Municipality over allegedly defective roadway

Background and Education
In 2001, Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, magna cum laude, from Catholic University of America, where he was a member of the following national honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Gamma Mu, and Phi Eta Sigma. He was also the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Award for Outstanding Student Achievement in Business Studies.
He received his law degree from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in 2004. While in law school, Mike received highest honors in Legal Research and Writing, as well as the Law Faculty Scholarship, a scholarship awarded to students with outstanding undergraduate records and LSAT scores.
Mike is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. He has admitted to practice, pro hac vice, in numerous federal courts throughout the country. Prior to his experience representing injury victims, Mike represented large corporations and insurance companies in personal injury matters and commercial disputes. This experience provides him with an advantage in negotiating on behalf of his personal injury clients by allowing him to anticipate defense strategies and tactics.
Mike currently resides in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and three daughters.
